Details of Iran's trade turnover with ECO member countries revealed

Iran's trade turnover with Economic Cooperation Organization’s (ECO) member countries amounted to 9.2 million tons worth $4.54 billion during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

According to Latifi, Iran exported 6.54 million tons of goods worth $2.52 billion to nine ECO member countries during the reporting period.

Latifi added Iran has exported the most value of goods between the member countries to Afghanistan - $1.1 billion.

“Furthermore, Iran imported 2.66 million tons of goods worth $2.01 billion from ECO member countries in six months,” he said.

The official noted Iran has imported the most value of goods between the member countries from Turkey - $1.83 billion.

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has 10 members - Turkey, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
