The largest number of industrial enterprises created in Uzbekistan for 9M2020 falls on Tashkent city, amounting to 15,440 enterprises, Trend reports with reference to State Statistics Committee.
As a result of reforms aimed at changing the forms of ownership and restructuring industries in Uzbekistan for 9M2020, their number in industry amounted to 80,023 units, which is 16.6 percent more than in the same period last year.
High rates in the number of industrial enterprises are noted in the following regions:
Tashkent city - 15,440;
Fergana region – 8,475;
Tashkent region – 8,370;
Andijan region - 8,111;
Samarkand region – 6,739.
Among operating industrial enterprises and organizations, 75,194 are micro-enterprises and 4,036 small enterprises.
The number of newly created enterprises and organizations in Uzbekistan from January through September 2020 amounted to 71,744.
The largest number of newly created enterprises and organizations falls on Tashkent (10,786), Samarkand (6,558), Surkhandarya (6,395), and Andijan (6,360) regions.
