Turkmenistan considers buying new agricultural machinery from Case New Holland

Turkmenistan is considering purchasing new agricultural machinery from Case New Holland, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The matter was discussed during an online meeting of representatives of Turkmenistan and Case New Holland.

The sides considered issues related to the purchase of agricultural machinery from the company, which are designed for the soil and climate conditions of Turkmenistan.

The company contributes to the development and strengthening of the technical power of the agricultural sector of Turkmenistan by supplying the latest types of equipment, including arable tractors, grain and cotton harvesters, and others.

The Turkmen side expressed its constant commitment to the transformation and modernization of the country's agriculture, and expressed hope for further development of cooperation.

Turkmenistan is using foreign equipment in its agricultural sector, and in particular, the equipment provided by US companies such as John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co.KG and Claas. Thus, earlier John Deere company delivered more cotton harvesting machines to Turkmenistan.

In August last year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental protection of Turkmenistan and John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co.KG signed a memorandum for the development of telematic digitalization in the country's agro-industrial sector.

According to the document, in the next few years, John Deere and Claas will deliver brands special equipment for Turkmenistan.

Reportedly, agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. It is one of the most important sectors of the country's economy. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, and fruits.
