Ukraine will export sugar, butter, grain, and flour using an exchange mechanism for the purpose of food security and maintaining price stability in the domestic market, Trend reports citing Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Exchange.

A video conference was held with members of the National Association of Sugar, Oil, Grain and Flour Producers of Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Embassy in Uzbekistan, and the Uzbek Embassy in Ukraine.

The video conference was attended by representatives of 16 large associations and manufacturers (the Union of Millers of Ukraine, the National Association of Sugar Makers of Ukraine, Ukrainian National Product LLC, Family Trade Group LLC, Anesta LLC, Zernari LLC, VV TRADE LLC, and others), as well as state food and grain corporations of Ukraine, Trustbank PJSB, stock exchange employees and brokers.

It was noted at the meeting that the widespread use of market mechanisms in the implementation of export-import operations by business entities of Uzbekistan and Ukraine will serve the dynamic growth of trade between the two countries.

Presentations of exchange activities were held for the participants of the event, in which the procedure for carrying out foreign trade operations on the exchange, mechanisms for mutual settlements, and ensuring guarantees for the execution of concluded transactions were explained.

At the same time, information was provided on additional measures created at the exchange for foreign companies (non-residents) when exporting flour, butter, sugar, and grain products to Uzbekistan.

Also, it was noted that the procedure for accrediting these enterprises on the exchange is simplified, and they are also exempted from paying exchange commission fees.
