The first Georgian botanical soft drink "Kai" plans to be exported after its success on the local market, Trend reports via Georgian media.
A new botanical drink has appeared on the Georgian market a few months ago. As Giorgi Kirkvalidze, head of production company Botanist said, today it is very popular among consumers.
According to him, the company plans to take 4 percent of the local soft drink market by late 2021, but their plans also include exporting the product abroad.
"Active work is underway for the export direction. The first test samples have already been sent and will be exported soon. Our main export markets are the US and Canada as the popularity of healthy soft drinks in these markets is steadily growing. I am sure that with its uniqueness and functionality, Kai will take its niche," said Kirkvalidze.
The director of the company says that large part of Georgian botanical drinks will be exported in the future.
"According to our plans, 70 percent of products will be sold on the local market, while 30 percent will be exported in 2021. However, these figures will equalize from 2022," said the director of Botanist.
