Only 165,600 tons of cabbage and broccoli were exported from Georgia this year, Trend reports citing Georgian National Statistics Service (Geostat).
Exports in monetary terms amounted to $165,600. Under the 0704 trademark, the country sold cabbage, broccoli, kohlrabi, and similar edible vegetables to Azerbaijan and Russia.
The largest share of exports went to Azerbaijan. In the first nine months of this year, 102,500 tons of cabbage and broccoli worth $14,400 were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan. The rate has increased on an annual basis. Last year, Georgia sold 11,600 tons of cabbage, broccoli, and kohlrabi for just $4,000 in Azerbaijan.
Some 13,600 tons of cabbage, broccoli, and kohlrabi (stout cultivar of wild cabbage) worth $5,400 were exported from Georgia to Russia this year. In 2019, 39,500 tons of cabbagelike vegetables worth $16,200 were sold from Georgia to Russia.
Last year, Georgia exported a small batch of cabbage-like vegetables to Qatar and Singapore, but this year no exports were made to these countries.
