Turkmenistan names volume of medicines imported from Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan exported medicines to Turkmenistan in the amount of $1.2 million from January through August 2020, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.
In general, Uzbekistan exported medicines to 11 countries for $11.5 million, which is 4 times more than in the same period last year.
As it was reported earlier, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan intend to improve import and export procedures.
The trade turnover between the countries is increasing. Earlier, representatives of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan agreed to hold a regular meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation in the fall of this year, in order to further expand trade and economic ties and resolve a number of issues.
A meeting was held between representatives of the two countries, where the sides considered issues of trade and economic cooperation, as well as discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation in the energy and water sectors.
