Egyptian company eyes realizing technological, infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan

Elsewedy Electrics Egyptian electrical company in New Cairo plans to implement technological and infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan in the fields of energy, electrical engineering, oil refining, gas chemical industries, Trend reports citing Dunyo agency.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Egypt Oybek Usmanov met with the Elsewedy Electric representatives in order to attract investment from large Egyptian business circles to the economy of Uzbekistan.

The parties also discussed the implementation of projects on generation of renewable energy, including solar and wind power plants and "smart" transport systems.

The need was noted for the use in Uzbekistan of a combined system of using natural gas and renewable energy sources for industrial production and heating of private houses, government buildings, which will lead to saving natural gas and reducing the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere.

Elsewedy Electric works closely with Siemens AG in order to implement the planned projects. Siemens AG supplies the appropriate equipment to the customer with the support of public and private financial institutions in Germany.

The management of Elsewedy Electrics expressed its readiness to open its representative office in Uzbekistan to effectively enter the economic life of Uzbekistan.

In addition, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of a group of experts and specialists of the Elsewedy Electrics company to Uzbekistan in mid-November to hold negotiations with state, private companies and discuss specific projects in the above areas.
