Azerbaijan raises export operations with Australia in 9M2020

The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Australia in the past 9 months of 2020 made up $65.7 million, dropping by 5.1 times year on year, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the bulletin, during the reporting period the share of Australia in the total import of Azerbaijan made up 0.04 percent $2.8 million of the total volume against 2.84 percent in the same period of 2019.

Meanwhile, the value of export of Azerbaijani products to Australia amounted to $62.9 million, while a year earlier this figure was $40.1 million. Thus, the country’s share in Azerbaijan’s total export grew from 0.27 to 0.59 percent.

The balance of foreign trade turnover between the two countries for the reporting period changes into positive, equaling to $60.08 million.

In general, from January through September 2020, the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan made up $18.4 billion, which is 27.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

The balance of the country’s annualized foreign trade turnover for the reporting period, despite decrease by 38.6 percent, remained positive, equaling to over $2.7 million.
