The exports of Iran's agricultural products increased by 13.86 percent in terms of value and 26.7 percent in terms of volume during the first 7 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Deputy Director of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehrdad Jamal Arvanaghi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.
The deputy director emphasized that Iran exported 4.53 million tons of agricultural products worth $3.1 billion during the reporting period.
He added that while in the same period last Iranian year, Iran exported 3.6 million tons of products worth about $2.7 billion.
Arvanaghi noted that 10 types of products dominated the exports of agricultural products. Thus, Iran exported 1.9 million tons of 10 types of agricultural products worth $1.29 billion in the first 7 months of the current Iranian year.
In general, Iran exported 65.5 million tons of goods worth $18.2 billion in the first seven months of the current Iranian year.
