Romania maintains its commitment to supporting already agreed projects with Kazakhstan and to searching for new ones adjusted to the additional needs revealed by the coronavirus pandemic, Spokesperson and Mass-media Relations Directorate of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Trend.
The ministry official said that despite thepandemic the interest of Romanian companies in terms of developing and continuing joint projects either bilaterally or of regional importance will not change.
“To a certain extent, on the short term it is too soon to have a clear comprehensive image on how the companies’ business plans are affected by the global pandemic and lockdown, and consequently by a global economic crisis. Despite all the current obstacles, we maintain our commitment to strengthening economic cooperation, to supporting already agreed projects and to searching for new ones adjusted to the additional needs revealed by the pandemic,” the official said.

“Positive input can be provided as well by Romanian and Kazakhstani entrepreneurship, through closed ties between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and ATAMEKEN, the national Chamber of entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, and within the framework of EU-Kazakhstan and EU Central Asia relations (just to point the EU-Kazakhstan High-Level Platform of dialogue on economic and business matters and the EU-Central Asia Economic Forum, second edition due to take place by the end of the year),” the official said.
