The activities of 157 small mines in general were restored in Iran from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to November 10, Chairman of Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) and Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Khodadad Gharibpour said, Trend reports citing the IMIDRO.
Gharibpour noted that it is planned to restore the activities of 200 small mines in Iran during the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021).
He added that the number of restored mines in Iran is expected to be more than envisaged plan for this year.
The chairman emphasized that a total of 303 mines’ activities have been restored from the beginning of last Iranian year (March 21, 2019) to November 10, 2020.
Gharibpour also said that there are currently 701 inactive small mines in Iran.
Several operations were carried out on the 223 of these mines in the current Iranian year.
