Iran's foreign minister visit to Pakistan was aimed for negotiation over trade agreement, political and regional issues, said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman.
"Iranian Foreign Minister traveled to Islamabad last week with a political and economic delegate. The Foreign Minister has discussed the expansion of bilateral ties and regional issues and peace in Afghanistan with his Pakistani counterpart while trade agreements between the two countries were another part of negotiations, " said Saed Khatibzadeh, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He went on to say that Iran is located on many transit routes and has tried to make its friends profit from the geopolitical situation.
"Iran's borders would change neither we would allow it. In terms of the International North-South Transport Corridor, it is only a simple transit road, and locating the road would not be decided without Iran's presence and our representatives seriously follow it," he noted.
According to Khatibzadeh Iran's approach towards the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is clear some try to prevent obstacles from being solved but we would continue our work based on our national interest and would become permanent member whenever it's suitable for our interests.
