Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers worth 297.9 million manat ($175.3 million) in the past 10 months of 2020, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, over the reporting period, the production of machinery and equipment grew by 41.4 percent, and other vehicles – by 50.3 percent compared to the same period of last year.
From January through October 2020, 1,497 cars were produced, which is 383 units more than in the past ten months of 2019.
As of November 1 this year, the volume of stocks of ready cars in the country made up 140.
From January through October, 250 tractors were produced. As many as 112 stocks of ready tractors were produced by November 1.
From January through, the volume of cargo transportation by all types of vehicles in Azerbaijan amounted to 155.5 million tons (an 18.8-percent decline on an annualized basis).
A significant share of the total volume of cargo transportation (59.1 percent) accounted for road transport, which made up 87.2 million tons (a decrease of 30.6 percent).
