The value of foreign trade turnover of fruits, nuts, and citrus peels from January through October 2020 made up $345.6 million, which is $12.3 million or 3.4 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the bulletin, fruits, nuts, and citrus peels worth $245.4 million were exported in the past 10 months, down by $14.7 million or 5.6 percent year on year. The products’ share in a total volume of export to Azerbaijan reached 2.01 percent compared to 1.55 percent last year.
The value of fruits, nuts, and citrus peels’ import to Azerbaijan went up by $2.4 million (2.4 percent) on an annualized basis, reaching 100.2 million manat ($58.9 million). Their share in a total volume of imports to the country amounted to 1.14 percent compared to 0.85 percent last year.
During the reporting period, the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan made up over $21 billion, which is 25.7 percent less compared to the same period of 2019. Of this amount, more than $12.2 billion or 58.25 percent accounted for export, and the remaining $8.8 billion or 41.75 percent – for import.
