Foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine amounted to $659.8 million from January through October 2020, which is 7.4 percent less compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
According to the SCC, Ukraine’s share in the total import of Azerbaijan amounted to 3.95 percent or $346.3 million of the total import volume, while a year earlier this figure was 3.36 percent or $384.8 million.
Exports from Azerbaijan to Ukraine for ten months of this year amounted to $313.5 million, while a year earlier this figure was $327.4 million, a decrease of 4.3 percent. Thus, the share of Ukraine in the total export of Azerbaijan increased from 1.95 to 2.56 percent.
The balance of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan with Ukraine for the reporting period remained negative and amounted to $32.8 million.
In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion in the first ten months of 2020, having annually decreased by 25.7 percent.
