Azerbaijan’s Azersu OJSC and KASKAD-HIDRO company signed a contract worth over 1.5 million manat ($882,352), Trend reports with reference to the "Electronic Procurement" website.
The winner of the tender announced by Azersu OJSC for the purchase of centrifugal pumps has been determined.
"KASKAD-HIDRO company was named the winner of the tender upon the decision of the tender commission,” the statement said. “A contract worth about 1.5 million manat ($882,352) was signed with the company."
Azersu OJSC is an organization that supplies centralized drinking water and renders the services related to the sewerage system. The company takes the necessary measures to extract water from sources, purifies, transports and sells it. It also takes the necessary steps to treat the wastewater.
The company is engaged in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of water intake facilities, reservoirs, pumping stations, water pipes and sewers.
Azersu OJSC manages 20,000 kilometers of water pipelines, 5,000 kilometers of sewerage and rainwater pipelines.
Currently, the projects are being implemented to reconstruct water supply and sewerage systems in the Azerbaijani urban and rural areas. The projects are financed through the state funds and loans from international financial organizations.
