The export of Azerbaijani plastics and plastic products amounted to $127.6 million from January through October 2020, Trend reports on Nov. 24 with reference to the statistics report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The decline in export of plastics and plastic products from Azerbaijan amounted to 20.8 percent from January through October 2020 compared to the same period of last year.
The share of plastics and plastic products in the total export of goods of Azerbaijan amounted to 1.04 percent.
Azerbaijan imported plastics and plastic products worth $287.4 million from January through October 2020. The share of plastics and plastic products in the total import of goods of Azerbaijan amounted to 3.28 percent.
The decline in import of plastics and plastic products in Azerbaijan from January through October 2020 amounted to 14.5 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
Some $12.2 billion accounted for export in the structure of foreign trade turnover, decreasing by 27.3 percent in annual terms. The share of export for the year decreased by 1.24 percentage points up to 58.25 percent of the total volume of foreign trade turnover.
Import to Azerbaijan from January through October 2020 amounted to $8.8 billion, having decreased by 23.5 percent compared to the same period of last year.
The share of import in the total trade turnover increased by 1.24 percentage points up to 41.75 percent of the total volume.
