Georgian Basis Company to negotiate with Turkey and African countries for export

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov.25

By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Georgian Basis Company is negotiating with Turkey and a number of African countries for the export of innovative building material, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Basis Company has introduced an innovative and alternative product – Fiberglass Reinforcements. This product was nominated for TBC Bank’s Business Award for innovative products. The innovative building material is manufactured of fiberglass and it represents a certain alternative to traditional metal reinforcements.

Basis Company’s output constitutes 100,000-meter-long reinforcements, but today, the Georgian domestic market does not register such high demand. Therefore, negotiations are underway with Turkey and several countries of Africa.

In previous years, fiberglass reinforcements were used only in specific fields- seaports and for coastline strengthening works. Today, this technology is used in any private or commercial structure, amelioration and irrigation projects, road construction projects, and so on.

Founded in 2014, Basis Company offers stainless and heat-insulating building materials that are 300 percent stronger, 500 percent lighter, and 30-40 percent cheaper than steel analogs.

The company employs about 20 persons. Despite the pandemic difficulties, Basis company continues operation in an ordinary regime and ensures constant production of fiberglass reinforcements of many configurations and dimensions.
