Iran unveils details of exports from Mazandaran Province

A total of 472,000 tons of goods worth $124 million were exported through the customs of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 21, 2020), Director-General of Mazandaran Province Customs Office, Ali Yousefimanesh said, Trend reports citing Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to Yousefimanesh, the goods were exported to 31 countries, including Iraq, Russia, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, the UAE, Turkmenistan, Syria, and Romania.

Moreover, 796,000 tons of goods worth $586 million were imported through the customs of Mazandaran Province within the reporting period, he added.

The director-general emphasized that goods were imported from 27 countries, including Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Germany, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Oman.

Yousefimanesh said that also, 19,700 tons of goods worth $23.8 million were transited via the customs of Mazandaran Province in the 8 months. The transits increased by 76 percent in terms of value and 55 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“The customs revenues of Mazandaran Province amounted to 2.43 trillion rials (about $57.9 million) over eight months,” he noted.
