The export of coffee and tea from Azerbaijan amounted to $7.8 million in the first 10 months of 2020, increasing by 2.7 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
The share of the mentioned products in total exports of Azerbaijan reached 0.06 percent, while a year earlier this figure was 0.05 percent, said the SCC.
"At the same time, Azerbaijan’s import of coffee and tea increased by $2.55 million or 5.2 percent over the year and amounted to $51.8 million. The share of these products in Azerbaijan's total imports amounted to 0.59 percent, having increased by 0.16 percentage points over the year," said the report.
From January through October 2020, the volume of foreign trade turnover of coffee and tea amounted to $59.8 million, which is 4.9 percent or 2.76 million more compared to the same period of the previous year.
In 10M2020, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover totaled over $21 billion, which is 25.7 percent less compared to 10M2019. Of this, more than $12.2 billion, or 58.25 percent, fell on exports, and the remaining $8.8 billion or 41.75 percent – on imports.
