Uzbek-Kazakh joint venture in agricultural engineering field to be opened in Kazakhstan

Investors from Uzbekistan will implement a project worth $12 million in the field of mechanical engineering in the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan in 2021-2022, the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan told LS information agency, Trend reports.

"The joint venture will be implemented on the basis of Orbis Kazakhstan in the field of agricultural engineering," LS said.

The production capacity will be 150 items of agricultural equipment per year. The launch of the enterprise will create more than 100 jobs.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Almaty, Orbis Kazakhstan Group of Companies is a diversified Kazakhstani company uniting dozens of enterprises and organizations operating in various sectors of the economy.

The multidisciplinary structure of the group provides a full range of services in the areas of oilfield services, petrochemistry, auto retail, agribusiness, agrochemistry, construction, transport, transportation, and public catering.

Earlier it was reported that investors from Uzbekistan will help launch a new production for 2.5 billion tenge ($5.94 million) in Shymkent. It is planned to build a plant for the production of medicines and hygiene products in the metropolis. Its capacity will be 20 million pieces of products per year. The venture is expected to be launched in January-February 2022. After its start, 90 people will be provided with jobs.
