The market value of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) will increase in the next Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 - March 21, 2022), Managing Director of the company, Ardashir Sad Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s official website.
Sad Mohammadi noted that a number of development plans will be completed next Iranian year in this regard.
The director added that the market value of the NICICO amounts to 3.22 quadrillion rials (about $76.6 billion), at present.
“The National Iranian Copper Industries Company ranks second in the stock market after the Persian Gulf Holding,” he said.
Sad Mohammadi emphasized that Iran ranks 7th in the world in terms of copper reserves. Thus, Iran currently accounts for 4.5 percent of the world's copper reserves.
As reported, Iran currently has more than 7 billion tons of copper reserves.
