Second border customs between Iran and Pakistan launched to operate

The second border customs has been launched to operate for increase trade relations between Iran and Pakistan, Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

According to Latifi, this is the Rimdan border customs, which is located in Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran) on the border with Pakistan.

Latifi added that previously, only Mirjaveh border customs operated on Iran's border with Pakistan.

The spokesman noted that the trade turnover between Iran and Pakistan amounted to 1.74 million tons worth $708 million during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through November 20, 2020).

"Iran exported 1.54 million tons of goods worth $590 million and imported 120,000 tons of goods worth $118 million over the reporting period," he said.

The official stressed that the exported goods from Iran to Pakistan were mainly gas and liquid fuels, construction materials, fruits and vegetables, food products, household appliances, sweet stuff, stones, and equipment.
