Kazakh Industrial Zone Almaty LLP talks projects implemented in 2020

Three projects were launched on the territory of the Industrial Zone Almaty for a total of 28.8 billion tenge ($68.5 million) in 2020, the industrial zone representatives told Trend.

Thanks to these projects, 442 new jobs have been created, said the representatives.

“One of them was the DorKhan-Almaty LLP plant for metalworking and the production of movable enclosing structures, automatic gates and roller shutters. The cost of the project was 417 million tenge ($992,800), with a design capacity of 12,125 units of products per year, and through which 42 new jobs were created,” said the rep.

“The second project was the Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan LLP vehicle manufacturing plant worth 28 billion tenge ($66.6 million). The design capacity of the plant is 45 vehicles per year, the number of jobs created as a result of the launch was 350,” said the message.

In 2020, a plant for the production of disposable medical products of Almerek LLP was also launched worth 443.4 million tenge ($1.05 million), with a design capacity of 29 billion medical devices per year and the creation of 50 jobs.

Also, a project of ‘green’ economy, namely the plant for the production of energy-efficient architectural facades LLP "Technovid", which employs 275 people, operates on the territory of the industrial zone, the message noted.

“The company's own investments in the project amounted to 3.2 billion tenge ($7.6 million), the capacity of the plant reaches 475,000 square meters of double-glazed windows per year. Modern equipment which is able to produce demanded products - architectural facades has been installed at the enterprise. And this can significantly reduce the amount of energy consumed in industrial and residential buildings,” the industrial zone said.
