Turkey's share in Azerbaijan’s total export volume increases

Turkey's share in Azerbaijan's total export volume amounted to 19.19 percent of the total volume increasing by five percentage points from January through November 2020 compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the statistics bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

The export of Azerbaijani products to Turkey on an annualized basis decreased from $2.5 billion to $2.506 billion from January through November 2020, which is by 1.4 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.

The import of Turkish products to Azerbaijan amounted to $1.4 billion from January through November 2020, while a year earlier this figure was $1.5 million.

Turkey's share in Azerbaijan's total import volume increased from 11.9 percent to 14.49 percent.

The volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Turkey amounted to $3.9 billion from January through November 2020, which is by 2.9 percent less compared to the same period of last year.

Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey remained positive over the reporting period, amounting to $1.4 million.

In general, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $22.7 billion from January through November 2020, which is by 25.8 percent less than in the same period of 2019.

The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis decreased by 42.9 percent, but nevertheless remained positive, amounting to $3.4 billion.
