Banks of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus to get new opportunities on action plans

The memorandum of cooperation signed between the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), VEB.RF, Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (DBK) and Development Bank of Belarus (DBRB) OJSC will be a good support for determining priority areas of cooperation, the DBK told Trend on Jan. 12.

According to the DBK, the memorandum was concluded within the development and expansion of integration between the EAEU countries through the implementation of investment activities, namely the possibilities of joint consideration of financing investment projects implemented in the territory of the banks' presence.

The DBK stressed that the memorandum will also provide new opportunities for agreeing on action plans and resource requirements for the priority areas of key financial institutions in Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.

On December 4, 2020, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), VEB.RF, Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (DBK) and Development Bank of Belarus OJSC (DBRB) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the aim of developing integration between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the First Eurasian Congress, organized by the EDB. The document was signed by Nikolay Podguzov, the EDB Board Chairman, the VEB.RF Chairman Igor Shuvalov, the DBK Board Chairman Abai Sarkulov, and Andrey Zhishkevich, Chairman of the DBRB Board.
