Iran's trade turnover with Kazakhstan decreases

Iran's trade turnover with Kazakhstan decreased by 26 percent during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through December 20, 2020), Trend reports citing statistics of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).

According to the statistics, Iran's trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 275,000 tons worth about $136 million within 9 months.

Iran exported 209,000 tons of goods worth $110 million to Kazakhstan over the nine months. There was no change in the percentage of exports compared to the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.

“Moreover, Iran imported 66,000 tons of goods worth $25.6 million from Kazakhstan in the 9 months. The imports decreased by 66 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

As reported, Iran exported 85.2 million tons of goods worth $25 billion in the first 9 months of the current Iranian year. Moreover, Iran imported 25 million tons of goods worth $26.8 billion over the reporting period.
