BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19

The Turkmen Ak Gaya company began to export environmentally friendly construction materials and drywall products, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.

The new production complex of the enterprise manufactures 2 types of dry construction mix – a large type for primary priming application and a small one for subsequent grinding. Currently, dry construction mix is exported to Russia on orders.

The company is capable of producing 8 million square meters of drywall per year.

The company is supplied with equipment from manufacturers in Turkey, Spain, China, and others. The entire production process is automated and controlled by operators.

The building materials industry is gaining momentum in Turkmenistan. A powerful construction cluster is being created in the Ovadandepe industrial zone of the Gokdepe district of Turkmenistan's Akhal region.

Among the products manufactured by the local construction, enterprises are the facing stone, cement, bricks, non-metallic building materials, metal structures, plastic, and fiberglass pipes.

Turkmenistan’s abundant natural resources allow increasing the production of expanded clay, the main component for which is mudstone, extracted at the Yagmansky field in the Balkan region.

The priority sphere of the building materials industry is the production of well cement for the oil and gas industry as well as the cement of various grades, including portland cement (sulfate-resistant cement), which is used in laying foundations, construction of bridge supports, and hydraulic structures.
