On January 21, the Export Support Group in Azerbaijan organized online negotiations between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia's Dagestan Republic, the Keramogranit Dagestan JSC production enterprise and the Azerbaijani Material Group company on the supply of Russian ceramic products to Azerbaijan, the Trade Representation of Russia in Azerbaijan told Trend.
These negotiations are preparation for a full-scale business mission of Dagestan enterprises to Azerbaijan, which will take place after the lifting of quarantine restrictions.
Following the meeting, a roadmap for the implementation of the export project was developed.
“Business representatives reached fundamental agreements on further mutually beneficial cooperation. Nikolay Bondov, a consultant of the Russian Trade Representation in Azerbaijan, a member of the Export Support Group, noted that the demand for Russian-made construction materials in Azerbaijan tends to increase. Taking into account the logistical proximity of the Keramogranit Dagestan company to the potential sales market, the products of the Dagestan manufacturer have great prospects in the Azerbaijani market,” the message said.
“Keramogranit Dagestan JSC is a modern manufacturing enterprise with a staff of 200 people. The plant has a modernized production base that allows it to produce up to two million square meters of porcelain stoneware per year,” the message reads.
The Export Support Group was created in 2020 on the basis of the Russian Trade Representation and the Russian Export Center in Azerbaijan. During its work, the Group has supported the conclusion of export contracts of Russian companies with Azerbaijan for a total amount of over $24 million.
The activities of the trade office are aimed at developing economic ties between Russia and Azerbaijan, promoting Russian export projects and attracting investments and advanced technologies to Russia.
The main mission of the Russian Trade Representation is to create an effective mechanism for promoting the economic interests of Russia in world markets.
