Iran's government is to inaugurate new projects in the field of tourism, power, industry and agriculture during the annual celebration of Islamic Revolution, said Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports via IRNA.

Among the inaugurated projects, Rouhani mentioned 'a major water and soil project in agriculture sector'.

"Another project is a major drainage project that would be inaugurated in west of the country on a 25,000-hectare area and another drainage project in Golestan Province on 78,000 hectares," he said.

Rouhani said the government has equipped 2.4 million hectares of land with a modern irrigation system in the last 7,5 years, while the amount of greenhouses has increased to 16,000 hectares.

Rouhani also said that the production in the country has increased in Iran despite sanctions.

"Production of home appliances at factories has been doubled in the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) compared to previous years, and there are several home appliance factories in Qom and Isfahan that are working in three shifts," he said.

"The statistics indicate the country's situation has improved during the second three months of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020)," he said.

"The economic growth in the second three months of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) was positive with and without oil export that is a big move," he said.
