Turkmenistan’s Turkmenhimiya State Concern carrying out joint work with members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences to establish small production facilities for the manufacture of various chemical products, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
This was stated by Chairman of the State Concern Türkmenhimiya Niyazly Niazliyev at a working meeting on the development of the construction and industrial complex held by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The production plan of Turkmenhimiya was exceeded by 32.2 percent, with a growth rate of 60.5 percent from January through December 2020.
During the reporting period, the group's plan for the production of mineral fertilizers was exceeded by 3.4 percent with a growth rate of 37.1 percent.
The plan for the production of technical iodine was exceeded by 23.2 percent, and technical carbon-by 13.6 percent.
The enterprises under construction in the country are equipped with the latest high-tech equipment from the world's leading companies, and the production of various types of chemical products is being established.
A lot of work is being carried out aimed at the technical and economic stabilization of existing production facilities, their modernization and reconstruction, major repairs of outdated enterprises, increasing the range and volume of production of import-substituting and export-oriented chemical products.
All laboratories and departments of Turkmenistan's Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences have switched to full self-financing since 2021.
The Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan is the first scientific research institution, whose expenses are financed from its own funds.
The institution switched to self-financing a year earlier than planned due to adaptation to market conditions. Thus, the transformation of the organizational form of the institute into a self-supporting one was carried out for several years and, in accordance with the decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was to be completed in 2022.
The profit of the institution has increased fourfold over the past six years, the report says.
For more than seven years Institute of chemistry conducts scientific research on the economic-contractual arrangement with the enterprises of leading branches of economy, Turkmenhimiya, Turkmengas, Turkmenneft State Concerns, Turkmengeology State Corporation, enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan, as well as agricultural producers and entrepreneurs of the country.
A new Industrial Chemistry laboratory was created at the Institute of Chemistry within the framework of Turkmenistan's program of integrated development of chemical science from 2021 through 2025.
The functions of Technological Projects laboratory have been expanded since January, which will now not only develop documentation, but also implement projects.
