Azerbaijan exported coffee and tea worth nearly $9.6 million in 2020, which is 0.6 percent or $60,900 more than a year before, Trend reports on Feb.5 referring to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According to the committee, the share of these products in the total export of Azerbaijan grew from 0.05 to 0.07 percent. The value of coffee and tea imports over the year increased by $1.09 million (1.76 percent), up to nearly $63 million. The products' share in the total imports of the country amounted to 0.59 percent, against 0.45 percent in 2019.
As a result, in 2020, the volume of foreign trade turnover of coffee and tea exceeded $72.5 million, which is 1.6 percent or $1.15 million more than in 2019.
In general, during the reporting year, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $24.47 billion. Of these, more than $13.74 billion, or 56.15 percent, accounted for exports, and the remaining $ 10.73 billion, or 43.85 percent, for imports.
