The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan has exceeded the production plan for 2020, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
This was stated by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Dovletgeldi Rejepov at a working meeting organized by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which reviewed the results of the development of the country's trade sector in the past year.
From January through December 2020, the CCI's plan was exceeded by 26.3 percent. The growth of the implemented works and services rendered by the CCI enterprises amounted to 2.7 percent. During 2020, 8 exhibitions and 31 business forums on digital video communication, as well as round-table meetings were held.
One of the most important events of the past year was the international exhibition organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, within the framework of which an international conference and business meetings were held, during which more than 130 bilateral agreements and documents were signed, including agreements on the export of domestic products in the amount of $72.8 million.
The growth rate of work performed by the Turkmen Chamber of Commerce and Industry increased by 3 percent from January through November 2020.
