As of 2020, import of products to Azerbaijan from Israel on an annualized basis decreased from $43.7 million to $28.2 million (a decline of 35.4 percent), Trend reports on Feb. 10 with reference to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

Israel's share in Azerbaijan's total import amounted to 0.26 percent of the total volume compared to 0.32 percent in 2019.

The export from Azerbaijan to Israel amounted to $437.5 million in 2020 while this figure was $1.3 billion as of 2019. Thus, Israel's share in Azerbaijan's total export decreased from 6.78 percent to 3.18 percent.

The volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries for the reporting year is estimated at $465.7 million, which is almost by three times less compared to 2019.

Thus, the trade balance of Azerbaijan with Israel for 2020 remained positive, amounting to $409.3 million.

In general, as of 2020, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $24.5 billion. More than $13.7 billion, or 56.15 percent of that volume accounted for export while the remaining $10.7 billion or 43.85 percent, for import.
