Volume of trade turnover in Turkmenistan increased

The growth in the volume of trade turnover of Turkmenistan's Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations in January this year compared to the same period last year amounted to 10.2 percent, the growth rate in production – 11.5 percent, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The growth in the volume of products manufactured by enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry, including cotton yarn and fabrics, is 17.1 and 1.8 percent, clothing and knitwear - 23.2 percent, leather products- 5 percent.

The production plan for the Türkmenhaly State Association was exceeded by 6 percent.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange held 24 trading sessions in January, concluded 2,434 contracts.

The growth rate of work performed by the Turkmen Chamber of Commerce and Industry was 16.8 percent.

The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan's growth rate of agricultural and food production in January is 55.6 percent, and industrial production – 1.3 percent.

The total volume of trade turnover has increased by 6 percent from January through November 2020, compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan.

The volume of cotton yarn produced by enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry increased by 4.9 percent, fabrics – 1.4, clothing and knitwear – 18.3, leather-15.6 percent.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange held 257 trading sessions and signed 26, 830 contracts in 11 months since the beginning of the year.

The growth rate of work performed by the Turkmen Chamber of Commerce and Industry increased by 3 percent.

During the reporting period, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan's growth rate of industrial production increased by 8 percent, while agricultural and food production increased by 37.4 percent.
