Kazakhstan boosts extraction of lead and zinc ores

The production volume of iron ores in Kazakhstan has amounted to 3.2 million tons in January 2021, which is 4.6 times more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Production of copper ores dropped by 6.7 percent during the reporting month having amounted to 9.8 million tons (10.5 million tons in Jan. 2020).

Production of zinc and copper ores amounted to 610,100 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 15.1 percent compared to the same period of last year.

Production of gold ores amounted to 2.03 million tons over the reporting period, which is 4.2 percent less than during the same period of 2020.

Production of lead and zinc ores amounted to 581,700 million tons, which is 12.6 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (516,700 tons in Jan. 2020).

As reported, the production of manganese ores amounted to 69,800 tons, which is 26.7 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (55,100 tons in Jan. 2020).

Production of chrome ores amounted to 451,100 tons, which is 14.1 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (525,100 tons in Jan. 2020).
