The volume of extraction of ores and concentrates of precious metals in Azerbaijan amounted to 692.4 kg in January 2021, Trend reports referring to the published report of the country’s State Statistical Committee.
Thus, the extraction of precious metal ores and concentrates decreased by 26.8 percent as compared to the same period last year.
According to the committee, the volume of gold mined in the country during January of this year amounted to 270.9 kg, decreasing by 33.1 percent compared to January 2020.
The volume of silver production during the reporting month dropped by 22 percent year on year, amounting to 421.5 kg, said the report.
The stock of finished products of gold as of February 1, 2021 reached 365 kg, ores and concentrates of precious metals - 779.9 kg, silver - 414.1 kg.
The volume of industrial production in Azerbaijan in January 2021 amounted to 3.6 billion manat ($2.11 billion), which is 3.4 percent less compared to Jan. 2020.
The growth of industrial production in the non-oil sector for the reporting month amounted to 12.8 percent, while in the oil sector - a decline of 5.4 percent.
