The gross domestic product (GDP) in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan increased by 0.3 percent in January 2021 compared to the same month of 2020, totaling over 175.8 million manat ($103.4 million), Trend reports citing Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, the volume of GDP for each resident of Nakhchivan rose by 1.2 percent year on year and amounted to 381 manat ($224).
As reported, industry is in the first place in the structure of the GDP of the autonomous republic. In January of this year, the republic’s industrial output totaled 95.6 million manat ($56.2 million), which is 0.8 percent more compared to January of last year.
In 2020, the GDP of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic surpassed 2.9 billion manat ($1.7 billion), having shown a growth of 1.1 percent compared to 2019.
