Number of real estate transactions in Tbilisi down

The number of real estate transactions in Georgian Tbilisi decreased In January 2021, Trend reports via the TBC research.

The sharpest decline was observed in Chugureti region (49 percent). In Samgori, the decline was 25 percent, and in Vake - 24 percent .

The number of transactions in Saburtalo, Didi Digomi and Gldani in January 2021 accounted for 46 percent of the total sales.

The least sold apartments were in Chugureti and Mtatsminda, where only 3,000 and 4,000 square meters of living space were sold in January.

In the first half of February, the decline in new mortgage loans slowed down.

A total of 8,443 borrowers took advantage of the mortgage subsidy, which ended in 2020. The total loan portfolio approved under the program amounted to 827 million lari ($250.7 million).

The State Program for Subsidizing Mortgage Lending ended on December 31, 2020.
