By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
Registration of new enterprises reduced by 23 percent year-on-year in January 2021 in Georgia, Trend reports via the Georgian National Statistics Service (GeoStat).
The country's overall exports have dropped by 16.2 percent, while imports – by 16.6 percent.
Gogita Todradze, Director of GeoStat, said that downfall was observed in construction sector, transport, real estate activities, warehousing, and services.
The drop in restaurant and hotel spheres is mainly linked to the reduction of the number of international visitors due to the COVID-19 related restrictions.
