Exports of Iranian mining products revealed

About 20 percent of Iran's total exports were mining products during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through January 19, 2021), Trend reports citing the report of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the report, Iran exported about 34.1 million tons of mining products worth $5.61 billion within 10 months.

“The exported mining products were mainly steel ingots and steel products, copper cathode, aluminum ingots and so on,” the report said.

While in the 10th month (December 21, 2020 through January 19, 2021), 3.9 million tons of mining products worth $762 million were exported, the report said.

According to the report, the share of other exported mining products amounted to 231,000 tons worth $386 million.

“Furthermore, 6.17 million tons of non-metallic mining products worth $214 million were exported in 10 months,” the report said.

As reported, Iran's foreign trade turnover amounted to about 123 million tons worth $58.7 billion over the 10 months. So, Iran exported 94.5 million tons of goods worth $28.1 billion and imported 28.2 million tons worth $30.6 billion during the reporting period.
