The share of micro, small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Azerbaijan's non-oil GDP is planned to be increased to 60 percent by 2025, Trend reports citing the annual report of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SME) of Azerbaijan.
As the agency noted, one of the important tasks for the current year is the development of entrepreneurship in the country, strengthening its role in the country's economy.
"Supporting the development of SMEs, increasing their competitiveness, facilitating access to markets, organizing successful regulation in this area are the priorities of the Agency for the Development of SMEs," the report reads.
Earlier on March 1, a briefing on the results of the 2020 activities of the Small and Medium-Sized Businesses Development Agency took place.
