In 2020, state property worth more than 29 million lari ($8.7 million) was sold in Georgia for 1 lari (30 cents), the National Agency of State Property of Georgia noted, Trend reports via Georgian media.
As reported, in 2020, the market price of state property privatized in the form of direct sale at a symbolic price is 29.01 million lari ($8.7 million).
At the same time, according to the agency, the cost of a part of the property privatized last year for 1 lari was not estimated. This category includes property transferred to the Patriarchate of Georgia, refugees, and eco-migrants at the request of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as individuals and legal entities.
As for the statistics for past years, in different regions of Georgia in 2015 state property was sold for a total of 3.46 million lari ($1.04 million), in 2016 - for 9.22 million lari ($2.7 million), in 2017 - at 1.47 million lari ($443,364), in the 2018 year - cost of 4.02 million lari ($1.2 million), and in 2019 - more than 85 million lari ($25.6 million).
