Kazakhstan determines priorities of foreign policy

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 4

By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan has determined the foreign policy priorities that will bring concrete benefits to the national business, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry told Trend on March 4.

A new Foreign Policy Concept of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2030 was adopted in March 2020.

The concept was developed taking into account the instructions of the president of Kazakhstan, goals, and objectives reflected in the Strategy for Long-Term and Sustainable Development until 2050, the Plan of the Nation "100 Concrete Steps to Implement Five Institutional Reforms" and the president's annual messages to the Kazakh people.

Reaffirming in the spirit of continuing the strategic reliance on the multi-vector principles, pragmatism, and proactivity, Kazakhstan faces the need for renewing some conceptual approaches in the field of foreign policy.

Among the country's key priorities in the international arena are the maintenance of international peace and security, the development of economic diplomacy, the protection of human rights, the development of humanitarian diplomacy and environmental protection, the development of regional and multilateral diplomacy.

The process of receiving specific benefits from foreign policy by the state, national business, and the people of Kazakhstan must be the result of the implementation of these priorities.
