Iran boosts exports via Zanjan Province

The exports through the customs of Zanjan Province (western Iran) increased by 9 percent in terms of value and 16 percent in terms of volume during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through February 18, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the report, 141,000 tons of goods worth $235 million were exported through the customs of Zanjan Province over the 11 months.

“The exported products were mainly zinc ingots, electrical transformers, profiles, sweet stuff, propylene polymer, paper, dairy products, fabric and copper ingots,” the report said.

In addition, 394,000 tons of goods worth $336 million were imported through the customs of the Zanjan Province within 11 months, the report said.

According to the report, the imported goods increased by 4 percent in terms of value and 19 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The imported products were mainly equipment of manufacturing enterprises, raw materials, cigarettes, steel sheets, industrial oil, fabric and so on.
