Iran will work to get back its money frozen in Iraq, said Iran Minister of Economic Affairs and Finances Farhad Dejpasand, Trend reports via IRNA.
"It is expected that the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran would provide precise and documented information about this," said Dejpasand.
Dejpasand expressed hope that 'irrational pressure' on Iran would be reduced and Iran will be able to use its unblocked resources to accelerate economic activity.
Governor of the Central Bank of Iran Abdolnaser Hemmati traveled to Baghdad in October 2020 and reached an agreement with Iraqi banking officials over release of Iran's $5 billion of frozen revenues, that was mainly from gas and electricity exports.
