Turkmenistan’s Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after Saparmurat Niyazov produced more than 25,000 tons of phosphorus fertilizers in the first two months of 2021, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.

The plant also produced about 15,000 tons of sulfuric acid from January through February 2021. In particular, sulfuric acid is produced at the plant by pre-order.

During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on January 14, 2021, it was announced that it is planned to establish the production of fine-ground sulfur with an annual capacity of at least 20,000 tons on the basis of the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant.

Turkmenistan’s Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after Saparmurat Niyazov manufactured products worth 77.9 million Turkmen manat ($2.2 million) from January through September 2020, exceeding the annual plan by 21 percent.

Thus, during the specified period, the production of mineral fertilizers amounted to 302,600 tons.

As reported, the Turkmenabat chemical plant named after Saparmurat Niyazov is developing cooperation with the private sector of Turkmenistan.

The cooperation is being established with enterprises that have made a proposal to establish joint production. Thus, the plant has already launched the production of three small enterprises.
