Kazakhstan ready to offer comprehensive support to Turkish investors - minister

Kazakhstan is ready to offer comprehensive support to Turkish investors, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs – Deputy Prime Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi said, Trend reports citing the press office of the ministry.

Tleuberdi made the statement during a meeting with representatives of Turkey’s business within the framework of his official visit to Turkey.

During the meeting with heads of seven leading Turkish holdings Koc Holding, Yildirim Holding, TAV Holding, Calik Holding, Kibar Holding, Atabay and Goknur Gida, the issues of investment cooperation in the food industry, mechanical engineering, mining and metallurgical industry, infrastructure and information and communication technologies, chemical industry and pharmaceuticals were discussed.

The meeting participants emphasized that Kazakhstan is an investment attractive country for them and named proposals for the implementation of their projects in Kazakhstan.

In particular, these proposals included an increase in the types of investment preferences, solution of infrastructure issues, further improvement of the work of industrial and special economic zones, personnel training and other important areas.

The volume of planned investments of these holdings in Kazakhstan in the medium term will amount to more than $1 billion.

Tleuberdi also held a meeting with Turkish companies, which are planning to launch 10 new production facilities in Kazakhstan this year.

The plans of Turkish businessmen include projects in the field of mechanical engineering, medical products, food industry, infrastructure, mining and housing and communal services.
