Georgia sees increase in export of flours, meals, pellets to Turkey

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29

Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Georgia exported 3,058 tons of flours, meals, and pellets, totaling $4.10 million to Turkey from January through February 2021, Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

On an annual basis, Georgia increased the products' export to Turkey by 1,093 tons.

Over the same period last year, 1,965 tons of flours, meals, and pellets were exported by Georgia to Turkey for a total amount of $4.5 million.

Turkey ranked first in Georgia’s commodity circulation in the reporting period.

From January through February 2021, total imports from Turkey to Georgia amounted to $203.3 million. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $2.36 million to Turkey.

The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey in the reporting period exceeded $248.5 million, which is 15 percent of Georgia's total trade turnover.
